Q. How long will the photo shoot take?
A. Each photo shoot will be scheduled for approximately an hour and a half. Larger homes or spaces requiring more images may be allotted more time. If interested, contact Mi Casa Photography for a quote.
Q. My home isn’t perfectly decorated. Can you still take pictures the way that it is?
A. Yes, of course! Most of the images taken will be of significant items in relatively small places. Care is taken in selecting each image for the collages, to make sure the finished product best and most artistically represents the space.
Q. How can I prepare my home/business for the photo shoot?
A. Natural light is often preferable for the collage images, so where possible, please have blinds and curtains open. Feel free to dust and tidy your home to your level of comfort. The more familiar it feels to you, the more familiar the photos will feel also.
Q. Can I walk through the house with you during the shoot? Or can I get other things done and leave you to it?
A. At the start of the photo shoot, I would love to have you walk me through your home and point out particularly significant items that you might like to see featured in the photos. Tell me the stories behind your home, and the special memories attached to places or things, and the photos will reflect those items that are precious to you. You’re welcome to walk through the shoot with me, or are free to carry on with your day while I take the pictures.
Q. Will my home privacy be protected?
A. Yes. The images made of your home may be featured on this website, but your name and address will in no way be connected to the images.
Q. Can these images be made in any season?
A. Any time of year is suitable for interior photo shoots. If you have a garden that you would like to include in the collages, please book the shoot for a time that would best suit. Alternately, a garden collage could be scheduled as a separate photo shoot and featured entirely on it’s own.
Q. Will you keep my digital images on file in case I need them in the future?
A. Your digital files will be stored in an external hard-drive, as well as burned onto a CD, which I will keep in my files for future reference.
Q. What's your copyright policy?
A. You own the prints that you purchase. All digital images remain the property of Mi Casa Photography and may be used for other purposes, but residential clients’ names will not be linked to any of the photos. Mi Casa Photography may display business names in association with their photos on the Commercial Gallery of this website.
Q. Can I get gift certificates in any amount?
A. Yes, gift certificates are available in any amount. They can be filled in to cover the session fee, collage fee, or both, or could be used for any dollar amount towards the shoot.
Q. Can my business use these images for marketing?
A. Businesses interested in purchasing digital images for their own marketing purposes (for website, pamphlets, business cards, folders, posters, etc.) are welcome to do so. Please contact Mi Casa Photography with your specific requests and for a quote.
